Ajmer dargah is one of the holy place for islam and hindu sikh and jain religion people in india not only india entire world  people come to ajmer sharif moinuddin chisti dargah . He was 13 century sufi mystic and philosopher moinuddin chisti born in sanjar modern day  iran (or) in sijustan moinuddin was the abode of sufi saint between 1192 to 1236 ad 
In ajmer moinuddin chisti the shrine has chistes graves ( maqbara)sharif tomb the shrine constructed by mughal emperor humayun this ajmer shrine is among the most important pilgrimage site in India
this dargah has been a site for pilgrims belonging to hinduism and islam since medieval time and devotees offer chadder (scared sheet)to shrine pilgrims also offer rose petals which up to total 7 tonnes per day .Women also allow to enter to dargah  estimated around 20,000 pilgrims visit this site

HISTORY OF SHARIF MOINUDDIN CHISHTI

Moinuddin chishti was born in 1143 ad in sanjar modern day  iran (or) in sijustan moinuddin was the abode of sufi saint between 1192 to 1236 ad he travelled across south asia eventually setting in ajmer commonly know as mu in al din (or )moinuddin chishti(or )khawaja ghareeb nawaz ( or)reverently as a shaykh mu'in al din he died in 1236 ad
When he tinnegerhis father sayyid ghiyat al din die in  1155 and his mother bibi unmalwara (alias bibi mahenoor) he lost both of his parent early 16 years although . He was initially hoping to continue  his father business the mangolconquertshe turned his mind in words hence he soon begin to develop strong contemplative and mystic tendencies in his personal piety 
after some day moinuddin wandering in search of knowledge and wisdom through ot the  neighbouring quarters of the islamic word and he visited the famous seminar of bukhara and samarkand
He also visited the shrine of muhammad al bukhari and abu mansur al mafrids . While traveling to iraq the young mu in al din encounter ed in the dist of nishapur.The famous sunni saint and mystic khwaja uthman who initiated the willing seeker into his circle of displace

At that time mu in al din also continued his own independent spiritual travelling during the time and he encountered number of sunny mystic of the ear include abdul qadir gilani najmuddin kubra due to mu in al dins subsequent visit to near . PREACHING  OF  MOINUDDIN IN INDIA

Chisti was not the originator or founder of the chishti order of mysticism as he is often erroneously though to be on the country the chistiya was already an established
He discourses chisti preached about loving follower fellow creature irrespective of religious and states his key teaching including charity and compassion for the poor and help less leading a pure life of devotion to the divine achieving oneness with god in the service of his creation
HISTORY OF DARGAH

After death of moinuddin in mar 15/ 1236 ad and contain his tomb the shrine was constructed by mughal emperor humayun. While subsequent ruler such as akbar and shahjahan also built mosque in the complex in ajmer dargah
This dargah visited by national ruler muhammad bin tughlaq ,sher shah suri, akbar, jahangir, shahjahan, aurangzeb, darasikh ,and jabanabi 
The dargah made by white marble dome of chisti shrine as seen to day was built bin 1532 ad by mughal emperor humayun . This dargah built indo islamic architecture  Amir justifies Mughal architecture. The dargah has various components such as tombs, courtyards, and Daulans. Prominent among these structures are Nizam Gate, Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, Auliya Masjid, Dargah Shrine, nd about a dozen other major establishments.
In the inner courtyard of a shrine, two huge shells can be fired. These containers have a capacity of 2240 kg and 4480 kg and are used to cook sweet dishes like kheer during special occasions. The material used in the construction of the main mausoleum of Ajmer Sharif Dargah is mostly marble and gold plating, protected by silver railings and a marble screen. Visitors are welcomed by a cozy aura at the Dargah, which is brought by the combined effect of flowers, incense sticks, and spiritual veneer.Dargah Sharif is undoubtedly the most famous pilgrimage center in Rajasthan. It is the resting place of Khwaja Moin-Ud-din Chishti, who was a great Sufi saint and devoted his entire life to the upliftment of the poor and Dalits. Millions of people visit this temple every year, as it is considered very sacred by people of all religions. Ajmer Sharif was built by the Mughals,

It is believed that when Sufi saints turned 114, they locked themselves for six days to pray and left their mortal bodies behind. Therefore, every year ‘Ursa’, a beautiful festival, is held for six days in the dargah in the seventh month of the Islamic lunar calendar. The main entrance to the sacred mausoleum, which remains closed at night, is kept open throughout the day and night (halted for 2 or 3 hours at night during all six days of the Ursa). This time is a particularly colorful time to visit this holy temple. A holy shrine, which is very much in harmony with the believers of the Islamic faith and is otherwise for spiritualists and believers of every faith.
