10.NEHRU BOAT TROPHY


The Nehru Trophy Boat Tri Race may be very popular race in india Vallam Kali held within the Punnamada Lake near Alappuzha, Kerala, India. This trophy conducted every year second saturday in august Vallam Kali or Vallamkali literally means boat play/game, but are often translated to race in English. The most popular event of the race is that the competition of Chundan Vallams (snake boats). Hence the race is additionally referred to as Snake race in English. Other categories of boats which participate in various events of the race are Churulan Vallam, Iruttu Kuthi Vallam, Odi Vallam, Veppu Vallam (Vaipu Vallam), Vadakkanody Vallam and Kochu Vallam.
In 2019, Nehru Trophy race was also made a neighborhood of the newly constituted CBL - Champions Boat League ; an IPL inspired sporting league being played by 9 teams across 12 races.

By train:The Alleppey railroad station is found about 4 km faraway from the town centre and connects Alleppey to other major cities like Trivandrum, Cochin, Vellore, Coimbatore, Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai. From the railroad station ,
